Luciana Hotel Bar

We transformed the dance floor of an existing event space into a high class bar for an undercover stakeout. For this scene, I created mock ups for the bar build, created the Director’s Plan with the furniture layout and bar setup, and also designed some patterns and pieces used throughout the set.

We also turned an existing cafe into a brewery for the show. For this scene, I used Photoshop to create mock ups of the paint on the exterior, added signs, and fleshed out the interior with new a new counter, and decor.

Street Market Set

A major challenge for the team was transforming an empty park lot into a foreign street market. This build required the construction of over 20 vendor setups with 2 main walkways to give the shots depth, and enough variety to make each shot appear to be in a different location of the market.

For this build I illustrated the layout of the entire market using Illustrator, and supervised the construction team for the placement and setup of each vendor booth.

Additional Work

This illustrator’s office was a set where I got to show off some of my illustration skills. The piece on the right was one of the mock sketch pages I made as set dressing.

Director’s Plans for various sets

This show taught me a lot about researching different environments and what goes into constructing their personalities.

We built sets that represented different countries, different states of care, and levels of opulence. One week we were designing a black tie ball room, and the next was a Colombian drug den.
