Space Needle Set

The 3D models here are from my explorations of recreating the space to help the set designers and VFX team design the final set. We used a virtual stage for a few scenes throughout the show, and these were my plans of seeing if it was a feasible option for this set too.

We created a floor of the Space Needle to serve a few different functions throughout the season. We had to create an amalgamation of the floors in the real Space Needle in order to accommodate the different scenes, such as an engagement party, a fire, and a tourist destination. Although it is not truly 1:1, it heavily incorporates details from the real space needle and is true to scale.

Space Needle Elevator

Another space we recreated was the Space Needle’s elevator. This set was as close to a 1:1 recreation as we could get.

Using photos taken remotely and some found online, I creating construction documents and matched materials for a lot of the elevator’s details such as the railings, button panels, cable system and lighting fixtures.

Pride Parade

One of our challenges for this season was a full Pride Parade with multiple floats, banners, emergency vehicles and a small town sized collection of vendor tents.

A lot of my work was helping organize the graphics needed , however I also got to help conceptualize the parade floats. These went through quite a few passes of design changes from shape and color, but this is what our production designer was happy with in the end.
